Ultrasonic flowmeters wear very slowly. It is possible to get 30+ years from the premium brands and we are here to, where possible, service and keep older assets running at peak performance. We do not scrap decent technology, and this is a key element of ultrasonic flowmeters. Recently, service was conducted on several Panametrics DF868 and they were all brought back into service, with the minimum of hassle, large capacity back up batteries fitted and re-installation and sensors and serviced cables, with new connectors. The cabling ran to 75 metre length and each of the 5 installation points was signal checked and cables attenuation tested using a PT878. The cost of replacing 4 Premium ultrasonic flowmeters would have run into several tens of thousands of pounds and this would have been totally unnecessary. These meters may have been installed in 1996, but they remain quality kit today. Quality Always Prevails.
